Harvey

Harvey came to us in August 2016, along with his sisters, Angel & Georgie, rescued with the help of some dear friends. He grew from taht medium-sized ball of fun to 120kg and was a huge bundle of cuddliness, greediness & occasional naughtiness. He loved to sit on your lap & would go all dreamy if you sang softly to him, which had to be done before he would let his hooves be trimmed. He really was a lovely, lovely boy.

Sadly, in February 2022, we said goodbye to our darling big boy, Harvey, who had to be put-to-sleep just short of his 6th birthday. He had suffered with digestive problems on and off throughout his short life & after the recent storms and choosing to shelter indoors, he became completely constipated. Despite a late night vet call-out on Sunday & various treatments to attempt to resolve the problem, this time nothing worked so we called out the wonderful Alice from Dyfed Farm Vets. She attempted a rumenotomy but sadly, he had ruptured one of his internal organs & we had no choice but to let him go.

Harvey is the first of our youngsters to go and we so wish he had had a longer life & especially that we could have saved him from suffering.

He leaves a massive gap in all our lives but we will forever treasure our time with him & the opportunity we had to give him the quality of life he deserved.

R.I.P. Darling boy, Harvey.
